Despite coach Mustafa Denizli's comments to the contrary, the Beşiktaş Eagles' championship chances already seem to be slipping away after their 0-0 draw away with Konyaspor in week 19 and their 1-1 home draw with the Trabzon Black Sea Storm last weekend.
The Eagles last Sunday dominated the one-sided match against Trabzonspor from start to finish and could have scored a hatful of goals if soccer were a meritocracy. But it isn't and so Beşiktaş, in spite of all its domination, had to come from behind to force a draw.
